ESET File Security for Terminal Server

ESET File Security for Terminal Server

This is the ESET license for Remote Desktop (Terminal Server) servers, where multiple employees connect and work within the server itself. Here, the server itself is not counted; instead, it’s based on the number of people connecting: you must purchase as many ESET licenses as you have Terminal Server licenses (Remote Desktop Access Licenses, or RDS CALs) on your server. If your server has 8 Terminal Server licenses, you need 8 ESET licenses.

The cost is 39,00 € per user per year, with a minimum of 5 users: 195,00 € per year. If more people connect, specify the quantity; the price per user decreases with volume:

• From 5 to 10 users: 39,00 € per user per year.
• From 11 to 25 users: 33,20 € per user per year.
• From 26 to 49 users: 29,30 € per user per year.
• 50 users or more: request a quote and we will provide a custom price.

Multi-layered Antimalware
Stops viruses, ransomware, rootkits, worms, and spyware before, during, and after execution, with cloud-powered analysis by ESET.

Ransomware Protection
Monitors program behavior and blocks those attempting to encrypt server files.

Brute Force Attack Protection
Blocks password-guessing attempts via Remote Desktop (RDP), the most targeted entry point for this type of server.

Designed for multiple simultaneous sessions
It is lightweight and does not slow down the server even when several users are working at the same time.

Automatic exclusions
Detects critical programs and files on the server and excludes them automatically.

Compatible systems
Microsoft Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, and 2016. Do you have Windows Server 2012 or 2008? The current version of ESET no longer supports them: consult us before purchasing.

Is it compatible with my Windows Server?

• Windows Server 2025: yes, compatible.
• Windows Server 2022: yes, compatible.
• Windows Server 2019: yes, compatible (including the Essentials edition).
• Windows Server 2016: yes, compatible (including Essentials and Storage Server editions).
• Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2: not with the current version of ESET. Contact us before purchasing.
• Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2: no.

It works the same in Server Core installations and with Desktop Experience.

Is this the license I need?

• Employees connect via Remote Desktop and work inside the server: yes, this one. Purchase as many as the Terminal Server licenses the server has, with a minimum of 5.
• The server only stores files or the management software, and no one works inside: ESET Server Security is sufficient, 119,00 € per server per year.
• You also want to protect the office computers: check out ESET PROTECT Entry, with a cloud-based console.
