What protection does ESET offer for Windows Server to my server?
Anti-Malware
As an award-winning exlink and innovative defense against malware, this cutting-edge exlink technology prevents attacks and eliminates all types of threats, including viruses, ransomware, rootkits, worms, and spyware, with cloud-driven analysis for higher detection rates. It is a compact program that does not consume many system resources and does not compromise performance. It uses a layered security model. Each layer, or phase, has a number of core technologies. The Pre-execution phase features technologies such as UEFI Explorer, Network Attack Protection, Reputation and Cache, Product Sandbox, and DNA Detections. The Execution phase technologies include Exploit Blocker, Ransomware Protection, Advanced Memory Scanner, and Script Scanner (AMSI), while the Post-execution phase uses Botnet Protection, Cloud-based Malware Protection System, and Sandboxing. This comprehensive set of core technologies provides an unparalleled level of protection.
OneDrive Scanning
This is a new feature that adds the ability to scan files located in OneDrive cloud storage for Office 365 business accounts.
Hyper-V Scanning
It is a new technology that allows scanning the disks of virtual machines (VMs) on Microsoft Hyper-V Server exlink without the need to install any “agent” on the VM in question.
ESET LiveGuard Advanced
Cloud-based ESET service. When ESET Server Security detects suspicious code or behavior, it prevents further threat activities by placing the item in quarantine with ESET LiveGuard Advanced. A suspicious sample is automatically sent to the ESET LiveGuard Advanced server for analysis with cutting-edge malware detection engines. Your ESET Server Security then receives a result from the analysis. The suspicious file will be handled based on the result.
ESET Cluster
The ESET Cluster allows the management of multiple servers from a single location. Joining workstations to nodes will provide additional automation of management due to the ability to distribute a configuration policy among all cluster members. Cluster creation is possible using the installed node, which can then remotely install and start all other nodes. ESET server products can communicate with each other and exchange information, such as configuration and notifications, and synchronize the necessary data for the proper functioning of a group of product instances. This provides the same product configuration across the entire cluster. ESET Server Security supports Windows Failover Clusters and Network Load Balancing (NLB) clusters. Additionally, you can manually add ESET cluster members without requiring a specific Windows cluster. ESET clusters work in both domain and workgroup environments.
Automatic Exclusions
Automatic detection and exclusion of critical applications and server files for efficient operation and performance.
Process Exclusions
Excludes specific processes from Anti-Malware access scanning. Anti-Malware access scanning can cause conflicts in certain situations, for example, during a backup process or live migrations of virtual machines. Process exclusions help minimize the risk of potential conflicts and improve the performance of excluded applications, which in turn has a positive effect on overall system performance and stability. Excluding a process/application is an exclusion of its executable file (.exe).
eShell (ESET Shell)
eShell is a command-line interface that offers advanced users and administrators more comprehensive options for managing ESET server products.
Component-based Installation
The installation can be customized to contain only selected parts of the product.
